Raising a Concern
At Burhill Primary School, we value positive relationships with our families and believe that most concerns can be resolved quickly through open communication. We encourage parents and carers to share any questions, worries or concerns as soon as they arise so that we can work together to achieve the best outcome for every child.
If you have a concern about your child's education, wellbeing, behaviour or any aspect of school life, please speak to your child's class teacher in the first instance. This can be done in person at the beginning or end of the school day, or by contacting the school office to arrange a telephone call, email correspondence or meeting.
In many cases, concerns can be resolved promptly by the class teacher. Where further support is needed, concerns may be referred to the appropriate Phase Leader, Deputy Headteacher or Headteacher.
If a concern cannot be resolved through these informal discussions, parents and carers may wish to follow the school's formal complaints procedure. Further information can be found in our Complaints Policy and the leaflet "A Brief Guide to the Burhill Primary School Complaints Procedure."
We are committed to listening to our families and working in partnership to ensure that concerns are addressed fairly, respectfully and as quickly as possible.
